The files included below have not been approved by the Board of Directors and are merely DRAFT revisions to the SUDAS manuals.

Administrative

  1. Meeting minutes
    The minutes of the previous meeting will be presented.
  2. Schedule of meetings
    A proposed schedule of regional meetings will be presented.
  3. Board of Directors meeting
    A summary of the actions taken with the November electronic vote will be presented.

Design Manual Items

  1. Determining structure diameter (Sections 2C-3)
    Additional proposed revisions after the April regional meetings and May Board meeting.
  2. Asphalt mixture design criteria (Design Sect 5D-1 and Spec Sect 7020, 1.02 and 1.04)
    Suggest deleting table from Design section since it is also included in the Specs.
  3. Deleting duplicated spec figures (various)
    Propose deleting spec figures that are duplicated in the design manual.

Specifications Manual Items

  1. Sewer video inspections (Section 4060, 2.01 and 3.02)
    Adding further clarifications to better ensure quality of video inspections being performed.
  2. Intake bid item clarification (Section 6010, 1.08, B)
    The paved area inside the curb that leads into the opening for the intake is not listed in any of the bid item “includes” language.
  3. Area intakes (Figures 6010.511-513)
    Changing terminology from “form grade” to “rim elevation.”
  4. Slope (Section 7030, 3.08, A, 2)
    Changing reference to spec figure rather than design section.

Other

  1. Discussion items
    • Concrete cure compound/shop drawing review acceptance
    • Concrete testing – beams or cylinders?
    • Remove slump testing from slipform paving?
    • Gravel road/shoulder specs
    • Other?
  2. Iowa Public Works Service Bureau update

  3. Products and/or research
    Committee members can suggest new products to be proposed for SUDAS manual inclusion; suggestions for potential research projects can also be made at this time.
